I'd Like You to Hear: Airborne Toxic Event

Particularly their newest hit, "Sometime Around Midnight." I loved the song from the first time I heard it and it was because of that, that I decided to make them my next featured band. I've never seen the video before now, and let me tell you. Absolute brilliance. I loved every second of it.

Visit their myspace here. Oh how I wish I could attend their acoustic performance at Newbury Comics thats coming up, but last time I drove down for one of those (to see Anthony Green this summer) there was a line all the way down the street and we never made it in. Depressing.

DIY: Success!!

So with some Arizona Green Tea, and some Project Runway Reruns this afternoon, I completed the main piece of the feather headband. I could not be anymore excited!

If I do say so myself, there is a striking resemblance with the original $24.00 one. The only difference? This one cost me $20.00 less. :]

Tomorrow I'm going to go see if I can find a nice thin metal headband. Then I'll post the final pictures!

DIY - Feather Hair Accessories

Okay so I've been in LOVE with this feather headband from U.O.

But I didn't want to pay $24.00 plus shipping and handling. So then I found this at Bona Drag:

Instead of a headband its a hair clip. Only $15.00 plus shipping.

SOOOO since I don't have a job and I'm lucky I have some pennies in a jar right now, I hit up the local craft store and got some sweet Almond Pheasent Feathers, Heart Pheasent Feathers, and Guinea Feathers. Stay tuned!

Casual in Twiggy.

Today's outfit.
Pretty casual. But I'm in LOVELOVELOVE with this sweater. And I scored it for wicked cheap!
Sorry for the poor picture. My sister wasn't around to take them.

I wore it with plain black flats. Not that exciting, so I didn't really mind having to cut them off.

Tank top: Charlotte Russe, $4.00
Sweater: Twiggy, $16.99
Skinny Jeans: Forever 21, $12.99
Flats (not pictured here): Bongo, $13.99

Chictopia

Hey! Just wanted to let you know that I also have an account at Chictopia.com.
They make it easy to upload your looks, connect with people like you, and rate outfits. You can earn chicpoints by uploading photos, posting and recieving comments ect.

If you don't already have one, you MUST check it out.

High Waisted Happiness

I wore this outfit to school today.
Of course there was mixed reviews due to the high-waitsted jeans, but I don't take it too seriously. Nobody in this small town New Hampshire school knows how to dress.

Last picture is up there to better show the shirt. The sun in the first two pictures kind of washed it out. Its white with light light green stripes.

Shirt: Crown of Hearts, T.J.Maxx - $14.95
High Waisted Jeans: Forever 21 - $29.89 (or something very close to that)
White Flats: Walmart.com - $13.99 (haha)

I'd Like You to Hear: Sea Wolf.

No, I did not recently discover this band. In fact I have known of them for quite a while. I might even go as far to say that I will absolutely love this band forever, and will never ever get sick of them. They're that good.

That's why I suddenly feel the need to share. Hope you feel the same. :)

I wanted to post two of their videos.
The first one is "The Garden That You Planted." It's one of my absolute favorite songs, but I do like it much better unaccompanied by the video.
The second is "You're a Wolf." I liked this video, and it's a popular song, so I felt that I should post both so you could really get a feel for the entire band.
Their myspace can be found
here. Let me know how you like them. :)
